Commitment is the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause or activity, etc.
An agreement or promise to do something in the future.  A true definition of commitment is to look at Jesus Christ himself. Jesus was committed to not only his father, but to us. Jesus sacrificed himself so that we may live under grace and enter into the kingdom. When a commitment is placed, we should be held to higher standard. It is covenant in a sense. When a covenant is placed, we are to honor the covenant, just as a marriage. We are Christ’s bride and he is committed to us. Christ states in John 8:29, “For I do always those things that please Him.” Jesus held his commitment with the Lord to please and honor him. When we step into a business, relationship, leadership roll we need to step into this as a covenant and walk in full commitment. Keep the honor in place. Commitment means that certain decisions are made in advance, irrespective of the circumstances.. “ I will do this no matter what.. I promise this… I will obey him no matter what.. etc..” Every commitment that is taken is taken with a choice. We first choose to commit. Every commitment requires responsibility ( personal or non personal.) commitment requires honesty, effort, honor, and integrity. Commitment is a promise, as the lord promised us many things throughout the Bible and he honors his commitment. We must love Christ above all things, we must put him first. If we put Christ first in every aspect of our lives we will walk and do everything as if we are doing it for Christ, meaning It will be done with full effort.  “Always be eager to present yourself before God as a perfect and mature minister, without shame, as one who correctly explains the Word of Truth” 2 Timothy 2:15.

Romans 6:13 Give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.” Commitment includes surrender. A surrender of everything you are and have to him and his service.

The lord has an expectation from us. God does not place an expectation where there is no ability. He expects us to be fruitful and to multiple. Multiplication does not have to come from bearing a child, but to raise up other leaders. The lord speaks in multiplication. We serve a God of multiplication. Glory multiplies, breakthrough multiplies. The enemy will come after your multiplication. Yet we are still called to multiply! We have to be intentional with our commitment. Do not commit if your heart is not in it. True characteristics of commitment is a loyal person ( proverbs 11:3 ) ( proverbs 17:17 ) “ a friend is always loyal and a brother is born to help in a time of need. )  Commitment is hard often times. Commitment requires courageous perseverance, when the business is going down hill, when a leader offends you, when you are struggling emotionally or mentally, it is easy to quickly throw the towel in, but imagine how easy Christ could have thrown the towel in. All he had to do was call upon his father and he would have been taken back home, but no Christ committed to us because he loved us so eagerly. Titus 2:14
He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
God’s commitment to a relationship with you is so strong that he allowed his only Son to die for your sins so that you wouldn’t have to experience the ultimate punishment for sin and so that you would be able to spend eternity with him.

Isaiah 46:4
“I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”
If you have put your trust in God, he has promised his total commitment to lead you and guide you for your lifetime.
